1. Introduction

TrueWallet ("we", "our" or "us") publishes the TrueWallet app and this website. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use them, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

2. Data We Collect

When you use the TrueWallet app, we collect:

• Account: the details you provide when you create your account.
• Usage events: what you do in the app, such as the screens and content you view (wallets, assets, news), the wallets you follow, the text of the searches you make in the app, and the purchases and subscription events of your account (plan, trial, renewal, cancellation).
• Device: device model, operating system version, app version, language and time zone.
• Country: derived from your IP address. We do not store your precise location.
• Push token: the identifier Apple and Google use to deliver notifications to your device.

Usage events are tied to your account when you are signed in, and to an identifier generated by the app on your device when you are not.

3. Why We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Run the service: sign you in, deliver notifications, handle your subscription and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Improve the service and measure what brings users to it, such as which screens are used and which links lead to installs.

4. Legal Basis

We process your data on these grounds:

• Performance of the contract between you and us, for your account, the service and notifications.
• Our legitimate interest in understanding how the app is used, for usage statistics. You can turn usage statistics off at any time in the app, under privacy and security settings.

5. Who Processes Your Data

These providers process data on our behalf:

• Hosting in France: our servers and database.
• Cloudflare: network, security and traffic delivery.
• Apple: App Store, subscriptions and push notifications on iPhone.
• Google Firebase: delivery of push notifications.
• Discord: internal alerts for our team.
• Twilio: sends the sign-in codes by SMS and receives your phone number.
• Resend: sends account emails and receives your email address.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it or to protect our rights against fraud.

6. Data Retention

We keep data for these periods:

• Usage events and install records: 25 months.
• Server logs: 30 days.
• Account data: until you delete your account. After deletion, usage events are kept without any link to your account.

7. No Advertising, No Sale of Data

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising. The app contains no advertising tracking and shares no data with advertising networks.

8. Data Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interest, or restrict it.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France.

10. Cookies on This Website

This website sets no analytics cookies. Audience measurement uses Plausible, which does not use cookies and does not track you across sites.

11. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
