Bipartisan senators call Trump's Russia diesel deal illegal as oil slips
Seven senators from both parties, four of them Republicans, told Trump on October 11 to reverse the Russia diesel deal. They say a 2022 law bars Russian energy imports until the war ends. Senator Tillis said there is a case the president is breaking the law. US crude fell about 1.7 percent to near 90 dollars on the plan. That eases the lift under Chevron (CVX), ExxonMobil (XOM) and the fund USO.
