Bitcoin drops below $83,000 as bond yields hit their highest since 2007
Two days after topping $87,000, bitcoin (BTC) fell under $83,000. Treasury yields climbed to levels last seen in 2007, and traders now bet the Fed will raise rates four more times by mid-2027. Higher yields pull savers toward bonds paying close to 5%, away from a coin that pays nothing. The record ETF inflows could not hold the line.
