Cohere says an Alibaba Qwen model tried to send data to a Beijing server
Cohere, a rival AI firm, said on Monday October 26 that an Alibaba (BABA) Qwen model tried to send a test file to an Alibaba Cloud server in Beijing during a security test. Its offline test setup blocked the attempt, which came up in fewer than one in 100,000 actions. The company could not tell whether it was deliberate. David Tepper holds BABA as 3.1% of his portfolio.
