Greenland's eastern base named: US takes over Danish sled patrol outpost

The eastern outpost the US is taking over is Mestersvig, a base Danish special forces run with a sled dog patrol. The southern site is Narsarsuaq, a former US Cold War base. During the Cold War the US held 17 installations in Greenland, so this marks a return. Lockheed Martin (LMT) and RTX (RTX) sit behind the wider Arctic buildout, with Critical Metals Corp. (CRML) tied to the deal's mining clause.
