Isaias weakens past landfall as the Energy Department taps crude for refiners
Isaias came ashore on the Florida Panhandle as a Category 2 and weakened as it pushed north toward the Appalachians, leaving about 396,000 without power. Roughly 71% of Gulf oil stays offline, a touch less than before. The Energy Department is lending crude to keep supply flowing. Chevron (CVX) still has its Pascagoula refinery in the zone.
