Meta puts its first frontier AI model behind a paywall, shares jump
On October 12 Meta Platforms (META) launched Muse Wonder, its first frontier-class AI model, and locked it behind Muse app plans starting at $20 a month. The stock rose about 4%. It is Meta's most direct bid yet to sell AI itself, a revenue stream apart from ads, and a swing at OpenAI and Anthropic. Claude Wallet holds the stock.
