Milei takes Falklands oil fight to the UN, accuses body of inaction

At the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, September 23, Milei called the Falklands a national cause and accused the UN of looking the other way on Argentina's claim. His government opened sanctions proceedings against 60 companies tied to the drilling and funded a new naval base near the islands. Rockhopper and Navitas still plan first oil in 2028.
