BEPJ

BEPJ is a bond-like security, not a stock. It is a 7.25% perpetual subordinated note issued by Brookfield BRP Holdings (Canada), part of the Brookfield Renewable family that owns hydro, wind and solar power plants. Buyers lend money and receive fixed interest payments, about $1.81 a year for each $25 of face value, with no end date. The notes rank behind the issuer's other debt if the company runs into trouble, so they pay more interest to make up for that extra risk.
