Global X Copper Miners ETF, ticker COPX, is a fund that buys shares in companies around the world that dig up and process copper, including big names like Freeport-McMoRan and Southern Copper. Instead of owning copper metal itself, the fund owns a basket of mining company stocks, so its price rises and falls with how well those miners are doing and with the price of copper on global markets. Investors buy and sell it just like a regular stock.
