EEM

EEM is the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF, a fund run by BlackRock that bundles stocks from dozens of developing economies like China, Taiwan, India, South Korea and Brazil into one investment. Rather than picking individual companies, it tracks an index, so its value rises and falls with the combined fortunes of emerging-market stock markets. BlackRock earns money by charging a small annual fee on the assets it manages, not by profiting from the underlying companies itself.
