EWI is the iShares MSCI Italy ETF, a fund managed by BlackRock that bundles together a broad basket of Italian companies into a single tradable share. Rather than betting on one business, buying EWI gives an investor a slice of Italy's stock market as a whole, with heavy weight toward the country's big banks, energy firms, and utilities.
