iShares Gold Trust is an exchange-traded fund that holds real gold bars in secured vaults on behalf of investors. Each share represents a small slice of that stored gold, so the fund's price moves up and down with the market price of gold itself. BlackRock runs the trust and charges a small yearly fee for storage and management, but unlike a normal company it doesn't make products or sell services.
