ICLN is the iShares Global Clean Energy ETF, a fund that holds shares in many companies around the world that produce clean energy or make the equipment for it, such as solar, wind and related power equipment. An ETF is a basket of stocks you can buy in one trade, so you own a small piece of many companies at once. The fund earns nothing from selling products. Its value rises and falls with the prices of the stocks inside it, and the fund company charges a small yearly fee.
