IYK

IYK is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that bundles together shares of large U.S. consumer staples companies, the makers of food, drinks, and household products that people buy regardless of the economy, think names like Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, and PepsiCo. Instead of buying each stock separately, an investor buys one share of IYK and instantly owns a slice of all of them. The fund makes money for holders the same way the underlying stocks do: through price gains and the dividends those companies pay out, minus a small yearly management fee.
