IYW

IYW is the iShares U.S. Technology ETF. An ETF is a basket of stocks you buy in a single purchase, so one share gives you a small piece of many companies. This fund holds large American technology companies, mostly software makers, chip designers and device makers. It earns no revenue of its own. Its value rises and falls with the stocks inside it, and BlackRock, the fund's manager, charges a small yearly fee.
