LIT is an exchange-traded fund, a basket of stocks you buy in one trade. It holds companies across the lithium and battery chain, including miners who dig up lithium, makers of battery materials, and producers of the batteries themselves. The fund earns nothing from selling products. Its value rises and falls with the prices of the companies inside it, which depend heavily on demand for electric vehicles and energy storage.
