XAR

XAR is an exchange-traded fund from State Street that bundles together roughly 30 US aerospace and defense companies, including household names like Lockheed Martin, RTX, Northrop Grumman, and General Dynamics, into a single tradeable share. Instead of buying stock in one defense contractor, an investor buying XAR gets a diversified slice of the whole industry, weighted so no single company dominates the fund. It makes money for holders the way any stock fund does: its price rises and falls with the combined value of the defense and aerospace companies it holds.
