Does the Autopilot app work in the UK? You can download it from the UK App Store. Autopilot’s own documents give no way to use it from here. It places trades inside a brokerage account that you connect, and the two brokers we could check, Robinhood and Public, ask for a US Social Security number and a US address. Its FAQ has an entry for customers who cannot open a US brokerage account, and the answer is a waitlist. One App Store review mentions a European beta, which we could not confirm.
This guide covers one question, availability. For the wider picture, see AutoPilot alternatives in Europe and the price comparison of other apps. The dub app runs into the same wall.
Does the Autopilot app work in the UK?
Not officially, according to Autopilot’s own documents. None of them says “US residents only” in those words. Three of them say it in other ways.
The FAQ. Autopilot’s FAQ asks the question for you: “I am an international customer and cannot create a USA brokerage account. What can I do?” The answer says the company is “working on international brokerage support” and tells you to email support to join “the international waitlist”. It gives no date and no list of countries.
The SEC filing. Autopilot Advisers, LLC is the SEC-registered arm. Its Form ADV, amended on 31 March 2026 and available on its SEC adviser page, answers “Approximately what percentage of your clients are non-United States persons?” with 0%.
The marketing. Autopilot’s Pelosi Tracker page puts its user base at “over 180,000 every day Americans”.
So why is it in your App Store? Apple lists it in the UK and in the European stores we checked. The UK listing is in English only and shows 3.6 out of 5 from 122 ratings, against 4.6 from about 23,000 ratings in the US (App Store pages, 9 October 2026). The download is not the barrier, the broker is.
Can you use Autopilot trading in the UK?
Only if you can connect an account at one of its brokers. Autopilot does not hold your money. Its FAQ says “We use your brokerage’s API to place trades” and “Money is never transferred or exchanged.” No supported broker means no trades.
Which brokers does Autopilot support?
Autopilot does not publish a full list on the pages we could open. It names three.
| Broker | Where Autopilot names it | What the broker asks for |
|---|---|---|
| Robinhood | Pelosi Tracker page, App Store listing | A valid Social Security Number, a legal US residential address, and US citizenship, permanent residency or a valid US visa (Robinhood) |
| Charles Schwab | Pelosi Tracker page, App Store listing | Not checked: Schwab’s international pages blocked our read |
| Public | App Store listing | A valid Social Security Number, a legal US residential address, and US citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa (Public) |
The brokers UK readers ask about, such as Trading 212, Interactive Brokers or Webull, are not named on any Autopilot page we opened. The waitlist suggests none of them is officially supported yet.
App Store reviews are not official, but they show what users hit. On the UK listing, an April 2026 review titled “Needs Trading212” says the app “desperately needs to add more brokerages” because Trading 212 “is arguably the biggest in the UK”. On the French listing, a five-star review from the same month says European brokers are open in beta and that connecting eToro worked well for tracking. Two other reviews, one French in July 2026 and one Italian in June 2026, report an error 500 when linking a broker. We found no Autopilot page that confirms a European beta. Ask Autopilot’s support before you rely on it.
What does Autopilot cost, and is there a minimum?
The download costs nothing. The trades do. Autopilot Advisers’ Form CRS, dated 4 February 2026, sets the minimum account at $500, with a $500 minimum per portfolio. The Basic tier has no fee. Premium portfolios charge a fixed fee of $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year.
The FAQ says what Basic leaves out: those members get “no future trades” beyond “the initial holdings”. The full comparison with other apps sits in the price guide linked above.
What can you use instead in the UK?
Autopilot sells two things: portfolios and automatic orders. The portfolios start from public filings, so the first half does not need Autopilot.
Read the filings. House members file their trades with the House Clerk, whose disclosure site is open to anyone, and funds file 13F reports on SEC EDGAR. Autopilot’s own Pelosi page says a filing can arrive “up to 45 days after they place the trade”. Mirroring is not faster than the filing: the FAQ says its systems “pick up the report as soon as it is filed”. The weeks of delay sit in the data, whoever places the order.
Use a tracker. Capitol Trades lists politicians’ trades on the web, at no cost, with three years of history. TrueWallet, which is us, reads congressional disclosures and 13F filings, rebuilds the portfolios, alerts you when one moves and lets you test it with virtual money against the S&P 500, with the disclosure delay built in. The disclosed trades of Nancy Pelosi are one of those portfolios. TrueWallet is not a broker, holds no money and places no order. It costs €9.99 a month or €99.99 a year, with a 7-day trial, and it is listed in the UK App Store.
Place the order yourself. What Autopilot automates is an order at a broker. Any real investment stays your decision, at a broker of your choice that serves UK customers and offers US-listed shares, and at your own risk.
Is there copy trading in the UK?
Yes. eToro’s CopyTrader describes itself as a way to “replicate the investment moves of other traders in real time, automatically”. What it replicates are the trades of investors in eToro’s Popular Investor program, not the filings of Congress or of funds.
One eToro product is built on politicians, though. eToro’s Congress-Buys Smart Portfolio invests automatically in a basket of the 10 stocks Congress members bought most in the past 100 days (by reported purchase size), rebalanced monthly, from $500. eToro’s press release of 14 August 2024 says it is not available to US users and does not say which other countries are covered, so check eToro’s page for yours. It is a basket, not a copy of one politician.
eToro (UK) Ltd is, in eToro’s words, “authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority”. The same risk disclosure calls social trading features “highly speculative” and warns that losses can exceed the amount you allocate.
Nothing here is investment advice, and TrueWallet does not recommend any trade.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Autopilot app work in the UK?
Not officially. The app installs from the UK App Store, but Autopilot trades inside a US brokerage account that you connect. Its FAQ answers customers who cannot open one by offering an international waitlist, with no date. Its SEC filing, amended on 31 March 2026, reports 0% of clients as non-US persons. One App Store review mentions a European beta, which we could not confirm.
Which brokers does Autopilot support?
The pages we opened name Robinhood, Charles Schwab and Public, and the App Store listing adds “and more”. Robinhood and Public both ask for a valid Social Security Number and a legal US residential address. No page we opened names Trading 212, Interactive Brokers or Webull.
Is there a UK version of Autopilot, or a waitlist?
There is a waitlist, not a UK version. The FAQ says the company is working on international brokerage support and asks international customers to email support to be added. It gives no date and no list of countries.
What can I use instead of Autopilot in the UK?
You can read the same public filings, use a tracker such as Capitol Trades or TrueWallet, and place any order yourself at your own broker. TrueWallet reads disclosures, rebuilds the portfolios, sends alerts and simulates them with virtual money. It never places an order. eToro’s CopyTrader exists in the UK, but it replicates eToro’s own investors. For politicians, eToro’s Congress-Buys Smart Portfolio invests automatically in a monthly basket of the stocks Congress members bought most; eToro says it is not available to US users. Our price comparison covers the other options.
