Isaias wird zum Hurrikan und zieht große Ölmengen im Golf in der Nähe von Chevrons Anlage offline
Isaias hat sich zum ersten Atlantik-Hurrikan des Jahres 2026 entwickelt. Etwa 63% der Ölförderung im Golf von Mexiko sind nun abgeschaltet, deutlich mehr als ein Viertel früher in dieser Woche. Chevron (CVX) hat mehrere Plattformen stillgelegt und das meiste Offshore-Personal abgezogen. Landfall wird für späten Freitag, 9. Oktober, in der Nähe der Grenze zwischen Mississippi, Alabama und Florida erwartet, dicht bei der großen Raffinerie von Pascagoula.
